You decide how gambling fits into your life, and a few habits make that decision easier to keep. This page sets out those habits, explains where help sits on this site, and is plain about what this site cannot do for you. Gambling is for adults only, and the eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout this site, including on the front page.
Set Your Own Boundaries Before You Play
Decide the amount before you start, and treat it as already spent. Choosing in advance means the choice is made while you are calm, not while a session is pulling you along. Thinking of the money as gone removes the urge to "win it back".
Never chase a loss. A bigger stake after a losing run doesn't change the odds of the next outcome. It only makes the next loss bigger. Keep gambling out of borrowed money entirely, because debt turns a lost evening into a lasting repayment. Take regular breaks. Stepping away gives you a moment to check whether you are still enjoying yourself or just continuing.
Controls such as caps or time-outs are something you arrange inside your own account at the gambling destination. This site has no account, no form and no server-side application, so nothing published here can switch such a control on, check it or enforce it.
Reach Out When It Stops Being Fun
Involve someone else early, as soon as gambling feels like a need rather than entertainment. Another person can see patterns you might miss and can help you hold to the limits you set. Every page of this site, including this one, carries links to five independent sources of help:
- BeGambleAware
- Gamble Aware
- Gambling Therapy
- G GamCare Gambling Support: Starts Here
- NCPG
Know What Happens on This Site and Elsewhere
The help links above are the only outbound links on this site that are not commercial. Operator links carry a sponsored marking. The help links don't. Instead, they are set to nofollow and open in a separate tab on each organisation's own website. This site receives nothing when you follow them.
No gambling takes place here, and nobody's age is verified on this site. Any age check happens at the destination you choose to visit. This site uses no advertising or behavioural profiling network, so nothing here is targeted at you based on how you behave.
